About This Site...

Welcome to the Superhero Cartoon Network online, a jumping-off point for locating and downloading superhero-related cartoons. We will be updating our files daily, starting in alphabetical order (listed by the actual name of the main character, not necessarily by the name of the show).
What makes the Superhero Cartoon Network different from other such download link sites is that we will endeavor to upload and post individual cartoons from the superhero genre—both old and new—in the MPEG format. This means that these files are ready to be watched or burned to a DVD recording device once downloaded. Where files for a particular cartoon are too large to be uploaded as single MPEG files, they will be split and uploaded as smaller MPEGs. In the event that files are too large or impractical to be uploaded as MPEGs, we will upload them as AVI files, which when are downloaded and extracted, will make a single AVI after you convert the resulting AVI to an MPEG (naturally, you will need the proper software to accomplish this with. Below are the links to free software that will allow you to do this; most of these programs are user-friendly, and only requires basic computer literacy).

The Show:
"The Adventures of Aquaman" was a half-hour cartoon show that aired two 12 minute Aquaman cartoons made by Filmation. The series premiered September 14, 1968. In 1966 this cartoon series started out as The New Adventures of Superman.
The second season in 1967 was called "The Superman-Aquaman Hour of Adventure." Filmation combined Superman with their new Aquaman cartoon series to become The Superman-Aquaman Hour Of Adventure. The second season not only showed Aquaman cartoons, but also featured individual adventures of the Justice League of America, and different DC Comics-based heroes like The Flash, Hawkman, Green Lantern and the Atom and also the Teen Titans.

Background:
Most of the action of the Aquaman series took place in the undersea world, where Aquaman and his allies were pitted against aliens, tyrans, and would-be world beaters.
Aquaman used his powers of superhuman swimming abilities, telepathic command of aqumarine life, and his ability to control aspects of water (for example, his ability to create and hurl "hard water balls" at his enemies) to bring justice to the undersea world. Most of the time, he relied on help from his allies Aqualad and Mera to save the day.
