The Show:
Blackstar is an American animated television series, a science fantasy story sometimes reported as being inspired by Thundarr the Barbarian. It was produced in 1981 by Lou Scheimer and Norm Prescott for Filmation and was Filmation's second fantasy epic.
Background:
Blackstar premiered on CBS on September 12, 1981. Astronaut John Blackstar is an intergalactic soldier of fortune who goes through a black hole into an alternate dimension. On the planet Sagar he finds The Overlord, who is taking over the planet, and helps the Trobbits, Mara the Sorceress, Storm the Amazon, Klone the Shapeshifter, and Warlock the dragon in their fight against him. Blackstar obtains the Star Sword, a powerful weapon. The Overlord has the Power Sword, and if the two swords are combined they become the Power Star, the most powerful
weapon imaginable.
The series lasted for only a single season.

Welcome to the Superhero Cartoon Network online, a jumping-off point for locating and downloading superhero-related cartoons. We will be updating our files daily, starting in alphabetical order (listed by the actual name of the main character, not necessarily by the name of the show).
What makes the Superhero Cartoon Network different from other such download link sites is that we will endeavor to upload and post individual cartoons from the superhero genre—both old and new—in the MPEG format. This means that these files are ready to be watched or burned to a DVD recording device once downloaded. Where files for a particular cartoon are too large to be uploaded as single MPEG files, they will be split and uploaded as smaller MPEGs. In the event that files are too large or impractical to be uploaded as MPEGs, we will upload them as AVI files, which when are downloaded and extracted, will make a single AVI after you convert the resulting AVI to an MPEG (naturally, you will need the proper software to accomplish this with. Below are the links to free software that will allow you to do this; most of these programs are user-friendly, and only requires basic computer literacy).
